Color Palette Inspiration: Sometimes, a color palette does more than just look good; sometimes, it speaks to something deeper. Melissa explains: “This fall season was incredibly busy for me, and when I thought about a color palette, I really just wanted a peaceful, neutral, calming palette for the new year. I absolutely love the muted color palette and wonderful textures that are part-and-parcel of the farmhouse trend.”

I think our customers are going to love the wood embellishments. They are so fun to use to add a little bit of texture to any layout. The colors are fairly neutral so they will complement many collections, plus they are the perfect spot to put a few words, a title, or a quote. As I finished up my collection, I even started building with them! I made the painted wood frame in the Collection Biggie from the pieces of wood in the Embellishment Mini. I even put them together and changed the colors a bit to get the beachy-looking sign for the JIF Plus Kit. What else could be built? More frames? A whole pieced-wood background?
