Joyce Schardt – I am a traditionalist when it comes to Valentine’s Day. Just give me chocolates, red roses or an old-fashioned card. So it’s no wonder that one of the first collections that I purchased from Scrap Girls was Bittersweet by Syndee. I especially loved the old-fashioned tags and cards that reminded me of the days when I exchanged similar cards in my youth. When designing this Valentine card for my precious mother, I discovered that Syndee’s Flea Market Collection has a similar feel and works well with the Bittersweet Collection.
Melanie Cockshott – I love Amanda’s Value Pack: Love Bug. A sweet Valentine’s kit for scrapping both boys and girls, lots of blues and pinks paired with some neutral kraft word art and embellishments.
And, of course, there is Doris Castle’s fabulous French inspired Amour Collection. It is stuffed full of Valentine goodies for both your digital scrapbooking pages, as well as your hybrid craft projects.
Amy Flanagan – I lean towards neutrals and earth tone colors and collections, so at Valentines Day I look for collections that don’t emphasize the red and pink as the primary colors.
I like Elisha’s First Blush Collection because of the muted and earthy pink tones, and the black is such a nice contrast in the collection. It is soft and delicate, but the black gives it a boldness that I like.
Syndee’s Heart And Soul Collection Mini is wonderful because of all the bright colors. There is so much here to make layouts about Love and Valentines Day. The fun word art and alpha with hearts, the hand drawn hearts and butterflies, and the hand painted papers all can be woven into wonderful layouts in a traditional or more Art Journaly style.
Because of You Collection Biggie has got to be one of my most “go to” collections of all. It is loaded with swirls and flowers and ribbons and even a paper heart. It has neutral tones with lots of natural elements, and if you love Valentines Day but are not a “red” person, then this collection will definitely has something for you.
Valerie Tuffrey – I love 19 Hearts Collection Biggie it is full of wonderful love themed papers and embellishments but is also very versatile. There are not just pinks and reds in this collection but also blues and browns, meaning you can create less girly layouts as well. I often turn to this collection in my everyday scrapping.
For a purely loved themed collection I have picked Perfection Collection Mini. I love the softness of this collection, especially in the papers.
Sue Maravelas – My favorite kit for this special day is Syndee Nuckles’ Unforgettable Collection Mini with its rich reds, warm browns and different types and colors of roses.
