How to Cut Out Triangles for Digital Scrapbooking
Photoshop and Photoshop Elements
Create a new transparent digital scrapbooking document. Place a background on the document so that you can see a corner of the background.
Select the Polygonal Lasso Tool.
Click on all three corners of the paper to select the triangle.
Use the Ctrl+C command to copy the triangle and Ctrl+V to paste it into a new layer. In Layer 3 you can now see a triangle. Simple!
Paint Shop Pro
Using the Selection Tool, pick Triangle from the Selection Type list.
Drag a triangle onto your digital scrapbooking background so that it is selected.
Use the Ctrl+C command to copy the triangle. Use the Ctrl+L command to paste the item into your document as a new layer. Raster 3 (Layer 3) now has a triangle in it.
Digital Image Pro
Insert your digital scrapbooking background into a new file.
Select the Marquee Tool.
Click on the Selection button and the Marquee Tool shape selector will pop up.
Pick the diamond shape.
Drag the diamond shape onto your background.
Use the Ctrl+C command to copy the diamond shape. Use the Ctrl+V command to paste the diamond into a new layer in your stack.
This is what it looks like if I delete out the original layer. I'm doing that so that you can see how it looks by itself.
Now get the Marquee Tool again and select a rectangle and draw it over the portion of the diamond that you want to remove.
Hit your Delete key and you have a triangle left!
