A Review of QwikLearn Photoshop & Photoshop Elements Training

QwikLearn for Photoshop & Photoshop Elements

Our own designer Susie Roberts shared with us a great review on this updated training:

“I have Linda Sattgast to thank for just about everything I know about using Photoshop and Photoshop Elements for digital scrapbooking and photo editing! Linda sets the gold standard for online, screen-based, video training, and she is well known as Adobe’s Scrapbooking Expert. I have been taking Linda’s classes regularly since 2006.

This class — “QwikLearn Photoshop and Photoshop Elements” — targets Beginners through Intermediates. But don’t write it off if you consider yourself beyond the intermediate level; in Linda’s words, “the more experienced, long-time users will learn excellent tips, shortcuts, and better ways of doing things.”

Let’s face it: when we teach ourselves or learn from less knowledgeable instructors, we can get into some bad habits. When you take this class, approach it with fresh eyes, a clear mind, and be open to re-learning how to use Photoshop or Photoshop Elements for your projects.

Now, here’s the nitty gritty! These classes are divided into 7 main topics, and each topic consists of between 9-13 bite-size videos that are easily digestible. One of the things I like best about Linda’s training is that she shows you how to make your projects look like they were created by a seasoned professional! One of my favorite videos for helping a beginner understand the difference is “7 Deadly Type Sins.”

Regardless of whether you use a MAC or a PC, Linda’s got you covered. There are some minor differences in the menu bar between a MAC and a PC in both programs. However, Linda covers that early on so there’s no confusion.

For those who need captions or just find that captions help to enhance their absorption of the material, you can choose to watch Linda’s videos with captions turned on.

Another feature that sets Linda apart from other instructors are the comprehensive PDF manuals and practice files. There are two versions, one for Windows and one for MAC. You can choose to print them out or just open them on your desktop to read as you practice what you learn.

As with all of Linda’s classes, this one is generous with its content, easy to follow along, and well worth the money. You won’t be disappointed!”
