This could be quite a long story, BUT here goes. I had made a lot of photo books through my life but when my wife died unexpectedly I was thrown into a head spin. I then went hunting for old Marine Corps buddies to see how they ended up. It was after finding several that I decided to do a scrapbook on my Military life. A friend who was a long time scrapbooker introduced me to the scrap book stores in the neighborhood. I was hooked on all the great stuff and blew my credit cards on purchasing everything I needed and much much more. I made the Marine Corps book and was so happy. Then my friend let me use her computer and introduced me to Adobe Photoshop Elements. I was a avid computer person and went hunting for things online. I must admit the lure of getting a free element or paper a day got me to try Scrapgirls. Well I have been a member ever since. I still think I might be the only male scrap girl you got. LOL I have learned and now have made plenty of books to leave a photo legacy of me and my wife’s life in the hope of not being forgotten. Like many old photos of my parents that I looked at wondering who the heck is in the picture. Scrapbooking was the ultimate way to make my legacy readable and viewable. Scrap Girls has been great for the lessons, kits and ideas. But also for the friendly way yu treat your members. Thank You.

  2. From Linda Higgins

It is said, “When God closes a door, He opens a window.” Well, Scrap Girls and digital scrapbooking have opened up a window for me. Scrap Girls and digital scrapbooking allow me to take my family’s, friends’, and my own photos and use a media to share them with others. I used to do a little paper scrapbooking, but I found it frustrating having to rely on someone else to cut, paste, write, etc. You see, in 1979 I had a car accident that left me a quadriplegic. I don’t have use of my hands, so paper scrapbooking was no longer much fun to do.

One day I was in my wheelchair sitting in the check-out line at B.J.’s and noticed at my eye level (just bend your knees to get to my eye level!) a craft magazine mixed in among the Star and National Enquirer tabloids. There was an article about the latest rage in scrapbooking, and it was called “digital scrapbooking.” I read the article and started to search online for more information. During my “surfing,” I came across links for Scrap Girls and other companies dealing with digital scrapbooking.

Once I entered the Scrap Girls website, I knew I found the right company to learn about digital scrapbooking. Scrap Girls has so many resources for me to use to improve my scrapbooking skills, such as the SG University, Ro’s Scrapbook Software Secrets Revealed: Photoshop Elements, tutorials, eBooks, blog, the Learn How area, and the great products in your Boutique. Perhaps Scrap Girls’ most valuable learning resources are the designers, other staff members, and the Scrap Girls community members via the Forum and chat rooms.

I just wanted to let you know that Scrap Girls means so much to me because it has given me the resources that allow me the freedom to create and work independently. Thank you, Scrap Girls!

  3. ScrapGirls.com is where I go for great ideas, videos, tutorials, and the best selection of digitial “stuff” from talented people….all in one place!!

Love the Wishlist capability. You rock ScrapGirls!

Scrapgirls means that I have no excuses why I shouldn’t be making all my scrapbooks old and present! At the same time sharing the site with my friends to introduce them to digi scrapping! Thank you for the new addiction, though I’m not sure my hubby appreciates the credit card bill. (:

Scrap Girls – means burning up my Visa, spending all my money because I can’t resist the wonderful little goodies my eyes see….. I love it! The designers are the best in the digital scrapping world! I have made very good friends, quality ladies! When I’m feeling down, this is my go to for cheering up. This is where I get pushed to try new, and sometimes difficult techniques. I learn each time i sign in, and I feel the need to do better and better with each layout. Each of the ladies inspire me to excel. Thanks to ALL my BFF’s on Scrap Girls.

Scrap Girls is so much more than a friendly store with great ideas and wonderful sales! It’s a community that shows sincere caring. It’s like knowing your neighbor, you’re always there, encouraging us and helping us when we need you. There’s nothing quite like it. And did I say about the quality of your products? ScrapGirls provides an engaging arena of so many beautiful women inspiring others with their fantamazing artistic photo journaling and creations. ScrapGirls artists possess unique, God-given talents that thrill so many of us, especially on the 1st and 15th of the month, as we utilize their digital creations to make our own meaningful expressions! ScrapGirls is my inspirational reference for creativity and learning (fast and furious), my depot for the most beautiful digital artistry supplies on the Internet. ScrapGirls are my girls rooted in God’s love, sharing their praises & prayers that have become additions to my own list that has gotten rather lengthy. ScrapGirls is a place to unwind, a social gathering point in which we can all celebrate who we are, laugh, cry or even gripe a little as we carry on through this journey of life! ScrapGirls is a blessing to me!

  9. For years, I have wanted to try scrapbooking. Several friends tried to get me started but I was always “afraid” to try. Plus it seemed like a hassle to have to find a place in my house to “scrap” and be able to leave things out without trashing the house. Then one day, a few years ago, I accidentally ran across this interesting DIGITAL scrapbooking site called Scrap Girls. I signed up for the newsletter, began to “lurk” on the forum, read tutorials and started my stash of freebies. I was a member who regularly visited the site, but never participated. I kept reading all the encouraging posts written to the newbies and finally, when my 9th grandbaby was born, I decided to give it a try. I have truly enjoyed the experience, even though I have only finished a few layouts. (I hope I get faster as time goes by.) I have found the inhabitants of this little purple place to be friendly and very willing to go the extra mile to help if you have any kind of problems, whether it be helping you learn how to do something new in your scrapbooking venture, or praying for you when you feel you need it. Someone is always there to listen and to help in any way they can. The designers are amazing and Customer Service is the best I have seen. I am so thankful I found this site!

  10. For me Scrapgirls is my “Cheers”. Everyone might not know my name but they’re always glad I came. Everyone is so friendly, helpful, encouraging, comforting. The designers are amazingly talented and creative. The customer service should be the gold standard for all companies to aspire to. I never paper scrapped before because it seemed you had to spend all your money on tools before you buy the goodies. And then there’s the problem of storage and work space. With digi scrapping. You can take everything and I mean everything with you. Your supplies, tools, work area, even your store! lol Scrapgirls makes as simple as as just adding your own photo; to as complicated as you want it to make. And they provide all the help you could ever need. Who wouldn’t love digi scrapping and Scrapgirls.

  11. ScrapGirls is the first digital scrapbook site that I knew about and the majority of my stash is still from ScrapGirls. Over the years, I have loved being involved in the challenges and in the special events that ScrapGirls offers each year. I have spent hours searching through the shop for “Christmas Tree of Doom” items or waited anxiously for the next set of Bingo words to be announced or laughed at my “Mess or Masterpiece” creations. I love the encouraging comments that I always find left on my layouts and I have loved the times that I have been able to be involved in chats. It is a warm and friendly community and the store has such a great range of products! I also love the daily newsletter freebies! So many reasons to love ScrapGirls!

  12. I’ve been a digital scrapbooker since 2006. My first learning grounds were at ScrapGirls. I have found inspiration and tutorials that help me stretch my skills to get the “oohs & aahhs” with my finished pages.
If there’s something I want to learn, ScrapGirls is a good place to check for information & tutorials to help me reach my scrapbooking goal.

  13. KatieGrace says:

I really wanted to preserve memories and thought that paper scrapping would be the way to go. I have stacks of papers that I bought to get my hobby going. I hate to think how much money I’ve spent. While looking for scrapping information online in 2008 I came across scrap girls and never looked back. I’m embarrassed to say that I never even made one page with my paper materials. I make a few cards and decorations with them but I just love the freedom of digital scrapping. Scrap girls has a wonderful product line, friendly forums, inspiring galleries, and unsurpassed customer service. There is just no reason to look anywhere else.

  14. I love the community – Scrapgirls is like a big family. Everyone that posts comments is always so positive and encouraging, and the customer service is exceptional. I love the high quality products and the tutorials showing how to use their products. The Scrapgirls and Scrapsimple clubs are amazing in value and quality, inspiration and in keeping up with all the current trends.
Debbie you have brought forward some terrific changes in a short period of time – keep up the good work. And here is my wish – that you have another 8 successful and fun filled years.

  15. Cheryll Ann says:

Scrapgirls is the place where I discovered digital scrapping. I had never heard of it before. I was interested in physical scrapping but did not have the space or time required to do it on a regular basis. Finding Scrapgirls opened a creative outlet for me to design beautiful keepsakes for my family, preserve memories, and learn incredible skills. Over the past 9 to 10 months I have learned so many wonderful techniques from the SG Manuals and Tutorials as well as from the incredibly gracious artists and community members. Scrapgirls designers and layout artists are so very talented and I study their layouts and designs in awe and in the hopes of learning to improve my own skills. Scrapgirls really offers a wealth of knowledge is a univeristy open to the community. I enjoy all the members of the team and community and feel so fortunate to have happened upon this site and to have been so warmly welcomed. It is a wonderful place to be :)

  16. Anne-Marie says:

Scrap Girls is the place where I learnt so much when I started digital scrapbooking and has become a place for friendship, inspiration and opportunities now to help others like I was helped when I started. Sometimes I have strayed away but like a prodigal son, I have returned “home”.

  17. Scrap Girls is always the first place I go to when I’m looking for a particular theme kit or just plain old inspiration. I love the quality products, the diversity of the designers, the customer service, and all the like-minded scrappers that populate this place! I always log off in a happy mood! I went to the first Scrap Girls convention in 2008 and have been learning ever since. I’m so grateful that I found you all!

  18. Laurie Pesek says:

ScrapGirls has been my inspiration for years!!!! I love the daily newsletter. It really kick starts my day in the morning!! I do a magazine called Senior Life and after all these years using Photoshop, your tutorials have taught me new and easy ways of doing things I had previously done in Photoshop in the “not so easy” way!! I have limited funds but have faithfully downloaded the freebies for years now and have also bought some gorgeous kits….now it’s just a question of finding the time!!!! I have referrred you to countless friends over the years….I’ve gone on other sites but yours is definitely the best one I have found!! Keep up the good work, best of luck to Debbie the new owner, and here’s to another grest 8 years and more!!!! (By the way, my magazine is also 8 years old!!)

  19. Scrap Girls has been a place for constant inspiration, high quality digital supplies and great daily freebies.

  20. Scrap Girls has meant different things to be over the years. Originally it was the place to get freebies and then it was the place I got inspiration through the newsletter. Once I actually started doing layouts it was the place I learnt about different techiques and now that I’ve started using the forum and gallery it is place I’m meeting like minded people, and loving it.

  21. Lena Ullén says:

At first Scrap Girls only was the place to get high quality scrapping products. But over time it has become a place were I’ve found friends, were I can share both a tear and a laugh, were I always feel welcome. It has even become my English class!

  22. Cindy Keeler says:

Scrapgirls is my first go to for everything scrapbooking… from products … cause I always need something new!! …. tutorials… information…. you name it you’ll find it here!
Thanks for everything and cheers to many more years!!

  23. ScrapGirls is my refuge from the crazy of the day. ScrapGirls is my springboard to creating. ScrapGirls is my one-room (a REALLY BIG ROOM) schoolhouse to learn the basics of digital scrapping. ScrapGirls is my liberal arts college to challenge my skills and knowledge and view of the creative digital world. ScrapGirls ScrapGirls is my corner scrapping boutique (open 24/7!!) where everybody knows my name <>, where the products created by an international team of designers are of the highest quality, where the the owners and staff care about the patrons, and the customer service always goes above and beyond. ScrapGirls is my connection with the world through viewing pages of friends around the globe. ScrapGirls is my digital scrapping retreat where I can scrap and chat and meet new friends and share the great things (and the difficult things) in life and know that I’ll be supported. Happy Anniversary ScrapGirls. I’m so thankful to have been a part of this community for the last 5 years!

  24. To me, Scrapgirls is a very friendly place. Everyone is so helpful and encouraging. It’s also a place where I know I can get good quality products. AND I have never seen you back out of something you started! Some sites I have been on will start a challenge or a contest and then because of some reason will back out of it or – in one case, just not give out the prizes – I was on one site that actually did not give out the prizes because it was too hard to pick the winner! – What’s with that?????? I appreciate the fact that you have never done that to us here!! I appreciate the fact that you are honest and above board with us. Thank you so much!! I feel like I am in good company here at Scrapgirls!!

  25. I started with Scrapgirls in 2008 and everything I know about digital scrap booking, I learned from this site. Whenever I get “stuck” on a layout, the I can look I the gallery for inspiration. I also love the products and that I can reuse them over and over which I could not do with paper products.

  26. Scrap Girls is a place that I can go to learn anything I am having a problem with. I adore the designers and the staff of Scrap Girls. I attended the 2009 SG Convention in Salt Lake and it was so special to be able to actually meet the designers and other scrappers in person. I love digital scrapping and being able to try different things with a picture or a grouping and then to change it if it doesn’t look as great as I thought it would without messing up the picture or the supplies. They are both available to be used again in another way. Thanks for being here!

  27. Scrap Girls is amazing! I love the products; the quality is WAY above other places. I love the Newsletter; many of the layouts have been saved for inspiration. Most of all, I love the community. The ladies (and a few gents) have become an important part of my life. More than just random, online people, they’ve become friends and fellow prayer warriors. I am truly blessed to be a small part of Scrap Girls.

  28. Scrap Girls was my first introduction to scrapping… but that’s not how I used them… scrapping was never my thing, although it is now, I liked cards, and all the elements, styles, brushes just helped to enhance my cards. The variety of themes and styles of design have always been wonderful. You can always rely on Scrap Girls to deliver high quality art

  29. I am new to the Scrapgirl world and I am absolutely enthralled! It has become my go to place for inspiration and eye candy. I know that when I purchase something from this site I am in for a treat! I have come to truly enjoy (and prefer) digital scrapbooking because of the unlimited art available here. I joined the forum and have truly found a home. I was welcomed quickly and warmly…not my experience with previous forums! I know that if I have a question someone will be able to answer or guide me to an answer. Thank you Scrap Girls for the wonderful experience that you are!

  30. Amy Kivimagi says:

Scrap girls is my go to digital site for anything I might need for a layout. The selection is astounding. I have loved the helpful team with questions. They make it fun with the games and challenges to get you scrapping. I have highly recommended the site to all my digy friends

  31. Scrap Girls means everything digital scrapbooking to me. I stumbled across SG web site when I was looking for something else back in 2007. The quality and appeal of the supplies here convinced me that maybe I could get interested in going digital after all! SG continues to be my favorite place to shop, and while I don’t have a lot of time to hang out in the forums, I sure appreciate the friendly help I’ve gotten when I had a program problem or boutique question! Digital scrapbooking is a big thing in my life. Being able to scrap without making a big mess, being afraid of using up favorite supplies, or being stuck with mistakes (love that undo button!) has helped me make so many more layouts than I would have in paper by now. And I credit all that to finding Scrap Girls! THANK YOU!!

  32. ScrapGirls is where I learned digital scrapbooking. It was one of the first sites I discovered. I think that was in 2005 or maybe in 2006, but I only received the newsletter for a year before I joined the forum in 2007. I learned a lot from the tutorials in the newsletter, the friendly people in the wonderfully active forums, and the several classes that I took. I even learned a little bit about photography, my other passion, from one of the classes (which I took TWICE, first with a point and shoot and again after I got my DSLR). I explored the digital scrapbooking world and then stayed with ScrapGirls exclusively for four years because of the top quality products and education. I will always credit ScrapGirls for getting me off to a fabulous start with digital scrapbooking. Thank you.

  33. janet slusser says:

I love ScrapGirls.com … I found this site in 2006 and subscribed to the newsletter … I’ve saved the daily freebies each day though I really didn’t do much with them/start digi scrapping til this year, summer 2012. Needless to say, after 6 years, I had gathered quite a collection of freebies to begin digi scrapping! Of course, now I buy items and I LOVE the examples that come in each newsletter each morning and that I can click on the items/styles of scrapbooking i like and can purchase those items. I will say for the new site, my FAVORITE feature is the WISHLIST!! Whoop!! I can’t get EVERYTHING I want at once and this allows me to keep them in a safe place where I can easily locate them the next time I get extra $$ or bd money!

  34. I am always curious as to what the daily freebie will be. I often try to use it in something the day it comes. And with the scrap simple club; it gives me new building materials every month so I can make consistently interesting layouts. So many good ideas in one place.

  35. Teresa Burton says:

Scrap Girls has so many wonderful people, from the staff to the designers, from the technical team to the many people who fill up the message board and news feed everyday. It’s just a well rounded place. Messages full of encouragement. Products full of quality. Tutorial full of knowledge. Customer service full of solutions. Way to go Scrap Girls.

  36. Patsy Bolden says:

I learned to digital scrap right here at Scrap Girls back in Oct. of 2008. Any time I would have a question I ALWAYS knew I could count on a quick answer from the great gals here. While I have not been around the last year much on the boards I have been keeping up by checking in on everyone. I hope to be back on here regularly again now though. I have been waiting for life to slow down but since it hasn’t I will just have to make the time anyway to visit!! Without this purple place I know it would have took me alot longer to learn what I did here.

  37. i LOVE SG because of great products, inspirational designers, FABULOUS newsletter ( where you are inspired and learn a lot), and the community of friends I have made

  38. I love Scrapgirls and not just for all the wonderful products and variety but the customer service is the BEST of ANYWHERE! I haven’t done as much as I would like with all my purchases but I have grand intentions and have gotten back to them recently making cards and hopefully layouts soon.

  39. To me, Scrap Girls means quality, service, and value when we are talking products and tutorials. On a personal level, it means caring and support. I can post about my latest victory, or ask for prayer in an area that things aren’t going so well. There is a generous heart in the forum community, it’s really more like family!

  40. Suzanne Harrison says:

Wow, great question! When I decided to switch from traditional scrapbooking I was so overwhelmed with it all. I located Scrap Girls online and boy has it helped me! Between the Scrap Girls staff to the community I have gained such confidence. Thank you Scrap Girls for helping me with this new adventure.

  41. Sherry_Lynn says:

What Scrap Girls means to me is definitely a loaded question – at the top of my list is the fact that the designers are above and beyond the absolute best in the industry! The customer service is top notch and there isn’t a friendlier or more compassionate community forum on the net!

  42. Becky Olsen says:

Scrap Girls is a family! I’ve made so many friends and learned so much here. It has been a perfect blend of my love for all things computing, digital photography, and family history. Thank you Scrap Girls!

  43. Being a scrapgirl to me means fast results! Digital scrapbooking is awesome! sometimes I come home from an event and create a page and post it to facebook before I post all my pictures! It also means I beautiful easy layout for old photos that are to frail to be touched and used over and over again~make them digital and problem solved! Digitial is quick, efficient and still can be as involved and integrate as you would want it to be! And if you don’t like it, it is so easy to change!!!
