Warm & Cozy Word Tags for Fall

Melissa Renfro’s Embellishment Templates: Warm and Cozy Tags is packed full of fun scrapping supplies.Her word choices make the tags so versatile, and I love that she includes both the words as well as the cut-out tags of the words. Let me show you three fun ways I have been using Melissa’s tags this month:

1.  Add a Style.

This is probably the easiest way to add a variety of different looks to your tags. You can add anything from glitter to watercolor to plastic with the click of your mouse button. Varying the styles you use can drastically change the look and feel of your layout. Just remember, because the tags are pretty small, you may have to adjust your layer style by going to Layer > Layer style > Scale effects.

2. Use the Tag as a Photo Mask.

Give this a try: Just add your tag and photo to your layout and clip the photo to your tag. You will probably have to make some adjustments to size and placement to get the right look, but it can be a fun alternative to the more traditional look on your layouts.

3. Make Your Own Paper.

Drag some tags onto either a finished paper or paper template, then use Blending modes to blend them into the paper and make your very own! On my example, I first used a watercolor style on my tags, rasterized the layer style, then used the “Color burn” Blending mode at an opacity of 65%.
