Sometimes, it feels so good to just go back to the basics. For scrapbookers, “the basics” is usually reminiscent of what we experienced at a paper scrapping crop session. Hauling boxes and totes of supplies, we created masterpieces with inkpads and stamps, rich textures, swirly ribbons, and confetti sprinkles. We also came away with sticky fingers, mistakes that were hard to fix, and hours spent on one layout! Elisha Barnett brings us back to the basics – in digital – with her November ScrapSimple Club: My Favorite – and you’re about to take a trip to your happy place! Imagine a digital crafting session that gives you the same hand-crafted look and the same delicious textures – but without the sticky, inky mess!

Fun Fact: “I have a folder called ‘Scraplift Myself’ and that’s where I keep my own layouts that I just love. So, my inspiration for this club was my very own favorite layouts! I looked at what I loved using in my own scrapbooking and pulled them together as a unique club of ‘My Favorite’ things!”

“each little piece of art has become a favorite to me in its own special way. I hope you enjoy using this club as much as I enjoyed creating it!”

Behind the Scenes Trivia: Elisha nearly lost all her work on this club – and it wasn’t a hard drive crash. Here’s what happened:
“When I started to work on this club, the dining room table was the staging area. After I did some stamping with the erasers and sponging over doilies and tape, it all started to look like a child’s art project gone terribly wrong. One day, my daughter decided to help me out by throwing away the ‘trash’ that had been accumulating. She thought I was crazy when I screamed and started rescuing it all from the trash can! Fortunately, it was all still on top and I didn’t have to start all over again!”
