Right now I have a funny 15-year-old at my house. Every day she is excited about something different. Each night she figures out her outfit for the next day, putting it together like an artistic collage, with the clothing, jewelry, hair accessories, and shoes. Each month she tries a different hair color and then starts thinking about the hair color to try the next month.
In a few years, this girl will be gone. She'll be different. She'll live somewhere else. But for today, she's here. Today, I've taken the first step to preserve these memories: I took the photo. Sometime in the future, I will create a digital scrapbooking layout around this photo, and I'm going to title it: Funny Girl. I don't ever want to forget our funny 15-year-old girl!

Kerry, thanks for the reminder of how entertaining motherhood can be. I really appreciate the way you allow your daughter to be herself, and I know she’ll appreciate having her “looks-du-jour” documented too.
