Product She Thinks You Will Love: I think the layered damasks are going to be a favorite. You can make cool element pieces with them, but you can also use them to make patterns and papers. And because they’re layered in pieces, you can use just a part of one damask, or mix and match these as well. Again, you can add a Layer Style to them, or just parts of them, and they are so versatile. I loved drawing these, and they turned out so fun and funky.
Product She Loved Designing: I really loved making the Gesso Bits & Brushes. I know I’ve said before that making a mess is not in my wheelhouse, but I really enjoyed getting out the black construction paper and the white paint and using those little pieces of cardboard and scraping and glopping paint around. It was fun to make the different shapes and textures, and I think they’re so much fun to use on projects and pages. They’re so trendy right now, too! I’m seeing them everywhere.
Club Name Inspiration: I wanted something to depict the way I was feeling with these new things I was trying and also the way I wanted I wanted the toolbox to feel — fresh and fun! Fresh Starts also fits great with the January time frame without boxing us in, because we can have a fresh start with each project we start!
Behind The Scenes: My husband is a huge supporter of my business but not normally in a hands-on way. This time, though, he was a huge help in the scanning process, by helping me get the right resolution and even placing the strings in cool shapes. I told him I might even add his name to the product preview (although he asked me not to do that!). He’s a gem, though, and he is my number one fan.
