The new year is a time when a lot of us start thinking or planning on how we want to document our memories for the upcoming year. Do we use the journal card system or maybe we are involved in a Project 365 or Project Life. Maybe we just try to document the highlights with just a few layouts each year. Whether you already have a system in place or are on the lookout for one; I though it would be fun to find out what the Creative Team’s favorite products for documenting life are!
You can’t go wrong with calendars! Several of the CT team have chosen calendars as their favorite products for documenting life’s moments.
Sue Maravelas – My favorite calendar templates are Brandy Murry’s ScrapSimple Calendar Templates: 11×17 Blenders. I love all the different blending masks Brandy created for each month. These templates are so versatile and easy to use! Just pick a photo with a few papers and elements to match and you can have a beautiful, unique calendar page done in a flash. I was able to create two very different pages quickly and easily.

Angie Durr – My favorite calendar product is Syndee Nuckles Blended Calendars. I love how quickly I can produce a professional looking calendar using her templates. Normally I print them at home but this year I used a professional printer so I could give them to relatives for Christmas. The results were so beautiful I kept one for myself. Now that the New Year has begun it makes me really happy to come home at the end of the day and see last year’s memories hanging on our fireplace.

Melanie Cockshott – ScrapSimple Digital Layout Album Templates: 12×12 Digi Pocket Pages 2 Mini – This year I am hoping to do more Pocket Life scrapping, and these templates are perfect! There is such variety in the layout designs, and they can be used for single pages or grouped together to make double page spreads. By mixing and matching these pages I will get a united look to my (hopefully) year of layouts with enough variety to keep them interesting.

Becca Hauck – I’m determined to scrap more this year, and it’ll all be in the Pocket Life style. I’m looking forward to incorporating these cards into my layouts this year. They would also make great Silhouette cut-outs with paper.
Shannon Trombley – I love grids templates for my Project Life layouts takes a lot of the stress out of using a lot of pics and including journal spots and embellishments too!

Valerie Tuffrey – I love Mellisa’s ScrapSimple Embellishment Templates: Date Slides. They are such a simple way to add the date, day, month to any layout.

Jody West – I chose ScrapSimple Digital Layout Album Templates: 12×12 That’s Life. I am aiming to do a photo a day so I need at least 7 boxes plus journalling space! These templates give me space and versatility with minimal tweaking and the calendars let me add the week number and dates covered easily and without taking up my precious photo space. I find a template works best for me with the same layout style each week that I can update quickly and gives a cohesive album at the end.

Monica Lebsack – My favorite is Marlene Peacock’s Scrap it Monthly Cards. I like these because they can be made to match the popular page protectors that can be purchased in local craft stores and online. Which means, I can print these as 12×12 layouts, or as individual cards to put in my page protectors.
A BIG thank you to the Creative Team for their documenting life product picks and layouts!
