Scrap Girls' Member of the Month - February 2013
Member Name: ScrapGram
1. What program do you use to digitally scrapbook?
I use Photoshop Elements. I started with version 5 because I got it free with a book I bought. Eventually, I upgraded to version 9, then I got version 10 free with a new computer. I was intrigued with version 11 because it is able to load styles and actions so easily, so when it went on sale I bought it. I love it! Best version so far.
2. Are you a Mac or a PC?
PC - because that's what I used when I worked.
3. Tell us the make and model of digital camera that you use.
I used a Sony Cybershot for several years, but I just bought a Canon Rebel T3i right before Christmas. It is awesome!
4. Name one thing that every beginner digital scrapbooker should know.
Every beginning digital scrapbooker should know about the Scrap Girls website! I have learned so much since I found this great place. Everyone is so helpful, patient, and encouraging here. Plus the variety of digital supplies available on the site is amazing, the quality is superb, and the customer service is unbeatable! (And the sales are great!)
5. If you could be transformed into a digital scrapbooking embellishment, what would you choose and why?
This is hard. I love digital supplies! I think I would have to pick photo treatments, like masks and frames. I almost always use either a mask or frame for the pictures on my layouts. They enhance photos so much and help draw the eye to the picture. Plus there are so many to choose from!
6. What time of day do you find that you do your best scrapbooking?
Since I am retired, I can pretty much scrap any time I want to. I guess my favorite time to scrap is early afternoon. I usually have any chores done by then, and it's too early to be thinking about dinner, so my mind is free.
7. What is your favorite snack?
I am definitely a choco-holic, but I try to eat a healthy diet so I don't eat it too often. (Not more than once a day, anyway!)
8. What is your least favorite household chore?
Cleaning the oven. I even hate wiping out self-cleaning ones!
9. Finish this sentence. "I couldn't live without..."
My family and friends. I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband of almost 45 years, two lovely daughters who are now my friends, and two other friends who are like the sisters I never had.
10. What's your current favorite layout that you've done?
