Help us create our spring collaboration to benefit Food for the Poor!
Twice a year at Scrap Girls, our fabulous designers work together to create a unique collection that we call our "Charity Kit." A full 100% of the sale of these collections go to help others.
Our charity of choice is always Food for the Poor (http://foodforthepoor.org/), a terrific Christian organization that helps those who need it most. We have requested that money raised by Scrap Girls goes specifically toward providing clean drinking water, and to date, Scrap Girls has helped Food for the Poor dig new wells in communities all around the world.
This year, we want our customers to join us in the fun of creating this spring's charity kit. For the next three weeks, we will be asking questions on our Facebook page to find out what style, theme, and color palette you would like to see for our spring collection. So stop by our page and share your opinion.
Then, as the designers get to work on what you come up with, we'll use Facebook to give you some previews of their designs!
If you've ever wanted to have a say in what goes into a collection, this is your big chance! As always, 100% of the sales of the spring collection will go to Food for the Poor – so the very best part is that it's all for a good cause!

Scrap Girls is Having an Art Journal-Inspired ATC Contest!
We love contests at Scrap Girls and here's a contest unlike any we've ever had before! So, grab your digital scrapbooking and art supplies and join us for our Art Journal-inspired Artist Trading Card (ATC) contest!
Scrap Girls has a pretty popular ATC challenge and swap, and there are quite a few of us who are crazy about art journaling. So why not combined the two and have some fun?! The Scrap Girls Boutique is full of great products that lend themselves to art journal pages and ATCs. You are only limited by your imagination! We think this contest will help you look at your digital supplies in a whole new light.
If you're not familiar with ATCs, here's an example to get you started:

To get you started, we've created a FREE art journal-inspired ATC to get you started, and it's available on our blog here.
To enter:

Download the FREE ATC card from the Scrap Girls Blog. You don't have to use this freebie on your ATC, but you can, if desired.
Your ATC should be 2.5x3x5 inches in size.
Your ATCs can be digital or hybrid, so there's no limit to what you can do! If you make a hybrid ATC, take a picture of it (or scan it) and upload the JPG.

Create your art journal-inspired ATC, save it as a JPG (300 pixels), then upload it to the Scrap Girls Journaling Chat Gallery by midnight (ET) on February 3rd!
We will be choosing winners based on creativity and the willingness to try! Have fun and enter as many cards as you like!

Creative Cards Chat

High Noon Crop
Wednesday, February 6th - 12 Noon ET
Join April (April Showers) each Wednesday at 12 Noon ET for the High Noon Crop. All coasts and time zones are welcome! These crops are designed to allow you to work on your own photos and themes, simply giving participants a one hour goal and a fun, new challenge each week.
On February 6th we'll do a Color Challenge! Create a layout on any theme, any topic, using the colors RED and WHITE!
Create your layout and upload it to the special High Noon Crop Gallery. You'll be amazed what you can get done in just one hour, but there is no High Noon Sheriff timing you! Hope to see you in the chat room!
January's Forum Game: Jumpstart January!
It's time to kick off the new year with some fun and a focus on scrapbooking! Join us on Scrap Girls Forum for "Jumpstart January!" This is a game and challenge that focuses on taking time to scrapbook regularly despite the little "speedbumps" of life. When the month is over you'll have completed several layouts and been treated to some fun along the way.
A Welcoming Committee Member will post a task each Monday through Saturday from January 1-31. The tasks will be formatted in a LARGE PURPLE FONT for ease of locating them in the game thread as it grows. Some tasks will require message board participation, email responses or gallery posting. Read each daily task carefully to see what is required of you.
Those who complete all the required tasks and submit or post required participation by 11:59 pm (ET) January 31st will be entered in a drawing to win one of three $10 Gift Certificates to the Scrap Girls Boutique! Those who complete all the layouts will be entered in a drawing to win one of two $5 gift certificates. Each person who completes a layout will be entered – once for each completed challenge page - into a drawing for one of three $3 gift certificates.

January Monthly Layout Contest: Our scrapbooks are full of the holidays, birthdays and special events. But what about those little, everyday moments? For the January Layout Contest, we'd love to see your layouts featuring everyday moments or habitual tasks that would otherwise go undocumented. Please post your layouts in the January Monthly Layout Gallery before Midnight ET on January 31st and you could one of the two people who will win a $10 Gift Certificate to the Scrap Girls Boutique! Please be sure to list your layout's product credits in the description or under the EXIF Properties.
Club Concepts Layout Contest: Post your new layout using the current club selection (either the Scrap Girls Club or the ScrapSimple Club) in our Scrap Girls Club Members Gallery or the ScrapSimple Club Members' Gallery. Be sure to list all of the Scrap Girls products you used. If your layout is chosen, it will be showcased as a Club Concepts layout winner, and you will win a $5 Gift Certificate to the Scrap Girls Boutique!
