Note from Debbie: As many of you are aware, we put out a call for new designers this summer and have selected a whole handful of talented new gals to round out our Scrap Girls team. We will be introducing each of them to you individually in our newsletters this fall. We hope that you will enjoy their designs and find some great new digital scrapbooking supplies to add to your stash and new ideas to keep you inspired.

The new designer I want you to meet today is Ginny Whitcomb.
Ginny is a talented artist in every media imaginable, but she especially excels at painting. Oils, paints, and canvas used to be her tools of choice, but after she had filled every blank wall in her house and cleaned more paintbrushes than she could count, she discovered digital painting and never looked back.
All of her work is still "hand painted" - only digitally. When I talked to her, she had just finished spending two days coloring each individual kernel on an ear of Indian corn. She likes to set the bar high for herself by trying to make her painting look as real as possible but with a touch of whimsy. This careful craftsmanship shows in all her lovely embellishments.
Though Ginny has been selling her digital artwork for years, this is the first time that it's available to digital scrapbookers. She can't wait to see how her work inspires you to make layouts and cards. Ginny also taught digital painting classes for years, so visit her on the Scrap Girls Forum at GinnyW, and she might share some tips with you!
