Ever wish that you could be a Product Designer for Scrap Girls?
Well, now's your chance to apply!
If you are interested, please forward the following items to [email protected].
The subject line must read: Product Designer Application.
- 3 color palettes that you might use as a basis for designing collections.
- A sample collection mini, consisting of 6 background papers, 1 "sheet" of embellishments, and 1 "sheet" of word art.
A "sheet" consists of a grouping of items that will fit on an 8.5x11 document. Take care to make sure that the collection mini's color set is well balanced and that it has an idea that ties it together. It should contain enough embellishments and word art to be useful to someone who wishes to make several layouts from it. Also, take care that the embellishments are not a grouping of a small number of items that have just been re-colored. This is your opportunity to show your versatility and skill level.
- At least one sample layout using the collection mini.
- A sample brush set with 3 brushes.
- A sample paper template set (like our ScrapSimple Paper Templates) with 2 papers.
- A sample embellishment template set (like our ScrapSimple Embellishment Templates) with 3 embellishments.
Examples of all of these products can be found in our Boutique.
Also, please answer the following questions in the body of your application email:
- Approximately how much would you like to earn each month?
- Approximately how many hours do you have to dedicate to design work each week?
- What are your goals as it pertains to design work?
- Why are you interested in working with Scrap Girls?
- What software do you use?
- Include any other information that you think would be helpful as we make our decision.
Other instructions: Save your files as 600px wide, 72 dpi. Place them in one zipped folder and forward with your application email.
DEADLINE: Friday, July 13, 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Time)
Notifications of results will be sent to all applicants by Friday, July 20.

Understanding Download Expiration Dates
Consider this scenario: You've just placed your first order with Scrap Girls and you go to download your product. You see that your order has an expiration date on it and a maximum number of downloads allowed. All of a sudden, panic starts running through your mind: I thought the product was digital, so why does it expire? Can I only use my files five times before they are no longer good? Then you start thinking if this is true, maybe digital scrapbooking isn't for you.
Whoa there! Let's take a moment and clear up the mystery behind the expiration date and number of downloads on all of our products.
When you access your download links, you'll see something similar to this:
This is telling you a few very basic (but important) things.
First is the expiration date. This is not the date that the files are no longer able to be used. Once you download them and put them on your computer, they are yours to keep – forever! They will work – forever!
This expiration date tells you how long you have to download this order to your computer. All of our download times are good for 30 days. But you must keep in mind that's 30 days from the time of purchase. If you come in and purchase your order at 5:00 a.m. one morning, on that 30th day afterwards, your download will expire at 5:00 a.m. You will see, though, that the expiration date and time are listed on your links.
The other important thing to note is the number of accesses. This is simply how many attempts you have to get your product to your computer. Most customers will not use (or need) more than one attempt because they will download their order all at once. But if you happen to have a slower download speed or if you're having Internet issues on that day, you may need a few attempts to get a good download. You have five attempts to download your files.
Now, what if you have used up all your five attempts and still have not received your product in its entirety? Simply email us at [email protected], and we'll be happy to send you a new link for that item.

Journaling Challenge Crop

New Member Chat

High Noon Crop
Wednesday, July 11th - 12 Noon EDT
Join April (April Showers) each Wednesday at 12 Noon EDT for the High Noon Crop. All coasts and time zones are welcome! These crops are designed to allow you to work on your own photos and themes, simply giving participants a one hour goal and a fun, new challenge each week.
On July 11th, we'll do a Texture Challenge! Create a layout using textures - either a richly detailed photograph, a textured paper, embellishments, whatever! Add some texture!
Create your layout and upload it to the special High Noon Crop Gallery. You'll be amazed what you can get done in just one hour, but there is no High Noon Sheriff timing you! Hope to see you in the chat room!
July's Forum Game: Spotlight on the Boutique
Each day of July (with the exception of Sundays), a member of the Welcoming Committee will post an image spotlighting a small circle of the layout you are to search for in the Scrap Girls Boutique. If the layout is not identified by the following morning, a second spotlight circle will be added to the layout; this will be repeated until the product is identified.
All you have to do to participate is search the boutique for the layout and post a link to the product page in the official game thread. Only one guess per member per day is allowed. You can find more specific details in the forum game thread.
Three $10 gift certificates to the Scrap Girls Boutique will be awarded. The winners will be randomly chosen from all the members that correctly identify a product throughout the month.

July Monthly Layout Contest: Hot! Hot! Hot! In the northern hemisphere, July is generally a month of very warm temperatures. For July's layout contest, we want you to scrap about what you do to stay cool – whether it'is in July or December. Post your layouts in the July Monthly Layout Gallery before Midnight EDT on July 31st and you could one of the two people who will win a $10 Gift Certificate to the Scrap Girls Boutique! Please be sure to list your layout's product credits in the description or under the EXIF Properties.
Club Concepts Layout Contest: Post your new layout using the current club selection (either the Scrap Girls Club or the ScrapSimple Club) in our Scrap Girls Club Members Gallery or the ScrapSimple Club Members' Gallery. Be sure to list all of the Scrap Girls products you used. If your layout is chosen, it will be showcased as a Club Concepts layout winner, and you will win a $5 Gift Certificate to the Scrap Girls Boutique!
