Final Meet of the Season
The girls had their final swim meet of the season this past Monday. We had to be there at 3:00 p.m., and we didn't get out of the meet until after 7:00 p.m. Swim meets are incredibly long just to watch about four minutes of swimming. It was a very long day for poor Dan, but he was a trooper.
The girls each swam three events in the final meet. Both ended up with personal bests in two of their events and placed high enough in the third to receive an event ribbon. They shaved off seconds from their previous bests. The girls were super excited, and I was very proud of them both!
I was never a swimmer, but I know swimming is a sport that my girls could potentially enjoy the rest of their adult life. They may not be the fastest swimmers in their age group but they are striving to do their best, making improvements throughout the season and having fun every time they get in the water. It's so much easier to stay in shape and lead a healthy lifestyle when you enjoy the activity.

This is one of my favorite products because it reminds me of what summer brings. This collection has a mix of hand-drawn and realistic embellishments which makes it fun to scrap with. The palette is warm, cheerful, and bright - which perks me up on the overcast days of winter.

East Coast High Noon Crop
Wednesday, April 25th - 10:00AM MDT
Join April (April Showers) each Wednesday at 10am MT for the East Coast High Noon Crop. All coasts and time zones are welcome! These crops are designed to allow you to work on your own photos and themes, simply giving participants a one hour goal and a fun, new challenge each week.
On April 25th, we'll have an Alpha Challenge. Create a layout using at least one Alpha. It can be a ScrapSimple Alpha or one from a collection; it is your choice!
Create your layout and upload it to the special High Noon Crop Gallery. You'll be amazed what you can get done in just one hour, but there is no High Noon Sheriff timing you! Hope to see you in the chat room!
Speed Scrap Crop
Wednesday, April 25th - 6:00PM MDT
It's time for some Speed! Join Shannon (tinkerbell11) at 6pm MT for the Speed Scrap Crop! She'll give you six tasks, spread out over an hour. You'll then have an hour to get it finished and posted in the Gallery!
April's Forum Game: BINGO!
Join us for an exciting game of Springtime BINGO on the Message Board Forum in April! Pick 25 words from the list provided in the forum game thread and send them in an email to [email protected] with a subject line that says "BINGO CARD - your Scrap Girls Message Board username" by Tuesday, April 3rd at Midnight MDT in order to play in the first round. The first round will begin on Wednesday, April 4th. If you miss the first round deadline, you can still play! Just send in your BINGO card at any time during the month, and you'll be eligible to begin playing when the next new round starts.
Each day, a member of the Welcoming Committee will call five random words from the BINGO list. Match just 15 of those words to win a BINGO. You must be first to call "BINGO!" in the game thread to win that round. After a winner is called, the boards will be cleared and a new round will begin the following day.
Each winner will receive a $5 Gift Certificate to the Scrap Girls Boutique! We like to see lots of winners, so please remember that each person can only win one round during the month. Have fun!

April Monthly Layout Contest: Life is full of surprises! Here in the United States, we have April Fools' Day on April 1st. Have you ever been surprised by someone playing an April Fools' joke on you? Or, you can scrap about another surprise that has happened in your life. You don't have to have photos. It could be a journaling page. Post your layouts in the April Monthly Layout Gallery before Midnight MDT on April 30th. Be sure to list your layout's product credits in the description or under the EXIF Properties. Two layouts will be selected to win a $10 Gift Certificate to the Scrap Girls Boutique!
Club Concepts Layout Contest: Post your new layout using the current club selection (either the Scrap Girls Club or the ScrapSimple Club) in our Scrap Girls Club Members Gallery or the ScrapSimple Club Members' Gallery. Be sure to list all of the Scrap Girls products you used. If your layout is chosen, it will be showcased as a Club Concepts layout winner, and you will win a $5 Gift Certificate to the Scrap Girls Boutique!
