Favorite Quotes
Last week, I set about scrapping some favorite family quotes. Being quite "down home," I can recall a few favorites as I was growing up.
"It is what it is" and "Well, there you go." These two just about summed up every situation that we could come across.
And I can guarantee you that those two statements, along with "Hmmm, bless your heart" were always, exactly the perfect thing to say to anyone when you just couldn't find any other words to say. When someone broke a hip. Or burned a pie. Or shared a little too much. Or hurt your feelings with a snide remark. Or made some really ugly artwork. Or cried their heart out on your shoulder.
Yes, it's good to remember my heritage on days when I just don't have an appropriate response.

1. What program do you use to do your digital scrapbooking?
Adobe Photoshop Elements 8
2. Are you a Mac or a PC?
I'm a PC user.
3. Tell us the make and model of digital camera that you use.
Canon Ixus 70. It's a point-and-shoot camera, but that's all I can handle at the moment. One day, I'd love to get a DSLR. Actually the camera I use was a freebie with a mobile phone I bought.
4. Name one thing that every beginning digital scrapbooker should know.
If your layout pleases you, then it's perfect.
5. If you could be transformed into a digital scrapbooking embellishment, what would you choose and why?
Not sure if it's really an embellishment, but I can't get enough of masks.
6. What time of day do you find that you do your best scrapbooking?
In the evenings into the late of night. Very late of night.
7. What is your favorite snack?
I try not to snack but I do love dried fruit. My current favorite is mango.
8. What is your least favorite household chore?
Easy - cleaning the shower, by far.
9. Finish this sentence. "I couldn't live without..."
...my beautiful family, my friends, scrapping, laughter, sunshine, babies, flowers... should I go on?

East Coast High Noon Crop
Wednesday, February 22nd - 10:00AM MST
Join April (April Showers) each Wednesday at 10am MT for the East Coast High Noon Crop. All coasts and time zones are welcome! These crops are designed to allow you to work on your own photos and themes, simply giving participants a one hour goal and a fun, new challenge each week. On February 22nd, we'll do a White Space Challenge! Create a layout using white space. This "negative" or blank space guides the eye to the important areas of your page. Remember, it certainly doesn't have to be the color white! Create your layout and upload it to the special High Noon Crop Gallery. You'll be amazed what you can get done in just one hour, but there is no High Noon Sheriff timing you! Hope to see you in the chat room!

February is Posting Contest time on the Scrap Girls Forums! You can win a Scrap Girls Gift Certificate by simply being chatty in the Scrap Girls Forums and Gallery. This contest will run from February 1st when we post the thread until 11:59pm MT on February 29th.
To enter the Scrap Girls Forum Posting Contest, you MUST reply in the Posting Contest Thread with your CURRENT post count. Your post count is the number under your avatar that shows when you post. (NOTE: The number found on your profile is a number which is calculated differently.) During the month, post your fingers off! At Midnight on February 29th, we will calculate your post count based on the numbers posted in the game thread.
