The Possibilities of the Easy Page Pro Album: 4x6

I have always loved the 4x6-inch size for digital scrapbooking, but lately I have fallen in love with the Easy Page Pro Albums: 4x6. Why? Because I seem to be short on time, and these albums have all the work done for me! Although they seem limited in their uses, they really aren't. They have so many possibilities. In fact, I have been creating nonstop with them lately. Let me share some ideas of creative ways you can use these albums.

Easy Page Pro Album: 4x6 Dainty

1. Fast, Easy-Coordinating Albums.

This is the most obvious example. Easily drag-and-drop your pictures, and you have a quickly finished album. The best part is these are very cheap to print. The 4x6-inch size can easily be printed through any photo service for just cents per picture. This is so cheap compared to printing out the same amount of layouts at 12x12-inch or 8x8-inch size. You can easily slip them into a simple $1 plastic photo book and embellish with ribbons and other embellishments on the cover. For a few bucks, you have a finished album to give as a present.

2. Create notecards, postcards, invitations, and announcements.

Create a new document 6 inches wide and 12 inches long. Drag the 4x6 Easy Page onto the bottom half, and use a coordinating paper on the top half. You can add your photo, extra sentiments, and print it all in a few minutes. I like to buy a box of plain white envelopes that fit this 4x6 size to have on hand for these quick cards. The nice part about using an Easy Page Pro Album is that you can quickly make a set of coordinating cards that are each a little bit different, and wrap them together as a gift - all by using one album.

3. 4x6 Calendars.

Every year I try to put out a simple desktop calendar for my family for Christmas, and every year it never gets done because I wait too long. So I decided to start making them now. Open up an Easy Page from a 4x6 album. Cut out a box from a coordinating paper if needed. Using the Brush Set: Calendar Year 2008-2013, stamp the year onto a new layer. Cut the month you need and place it on top of your empty square. In a few minutes, you've already finished a month of your yearly calendar. These can easily be displayed in magnetic plastic frames on the fridge or the standing frames for desks. It could also be printed and put in a book to keep in your purse.

4. Quote, Scripture, or Recipe Cards.

The blank places don't have to be used for only photos. They can easily be used as a box for type or journaling. Simply place a coordinating paper behind and key in your favorite quotes, Scripture verses, journaling notes, or recipes. This is a fast way to make recipe books or quote books for quick-and-simple gifts.

5. Scrap It.

Use the 4x6 Easy Page as an additional element on your larger and bigger scrapbook layouts. You don't have to use them just as they are. Add additional titles, journaling, or embellishments. Use them as part of a frame or embellishment cluster on a larger layout. Be creative!

6. Frame them.

You can buy all kinds of fun, multi-windowed frames for 4x6 pictures. By using one coordinating collection, you've created a small gallery for your miniature layouts.

These are just some of the ways I've found to use these very versatile products. Maybe you'll think of some additional ways to use them (be sure to share your great ideas in our Gallery!). Often, we see only one use for our digital scrapbooking products when there are so many other uses and ways to make our money spread further. Try thinking outside of the box, and you'll start seeing lots of possibilities for all of your digital scrapbooking products.

June Message Board Game: Quotable Quotes

The object of the game is to correctly guess the layout (created by either a product designer or layout artist) that contains a quote or journaling. Each day, you will be given a word found in the clue. We will keep giving words to the clues until a correct guess is made.

Be the first to answer it correctly and win a $5.00 Gift Certificate to the Boutique! You are only allowed ONE guess per daily clue, and you are only allowed ONE win per month. When you make your guess, you must link it to the correct layout in the Boutique. We will play the game daily during the entire month of June. When a correct answer is given, the new puzzle will start the following day.

Layout Contests:

June Monthly Layout Contest: June is National Candy Month and who doesn't like candy!? For this month's layout contest, use the wrapper of your favorite candy for inspiration. Does your favorite candy have a great color combination, cool fonts or a fun striped pattern? Use whatever inspires you about it to create your layout. You don't have to include the candy's wrapper in your layout but you might mention it in your description. Create your layout and post it in the June Layout Contest Gallery by Midnight MT on June 30th. Be sure to list your credits in the description or under the EXIF Properties. If your layout is one of the two chosen, you will win a $10 gift certificate to the Scrap Girls Boutique!

Club Concepts Layout Contest: Post your new layout using the current club selection (either the Scrap Girls Club or the ScrapSimple Club) in our Scrap Girls Club Members Gallery or the ScrapSimple Club Members' Gallery. Be sure to list all of the Scrap Girls products you used. If your layout is chosen, it will be showcased as a Club Concepts layout winner, and you will win a $5 Gift Certificate to the Scrap Girls Boutique!
