QUESTION: I'm new and just posted a two-page spread in my first gallery album. Unfortunately, since I uploaded the left side, or page 1 first, and then uploaded the right, or page 2, they appear out of order. How can I change the order? Also, is there a way to edit/add to the original description of each layout? Do you just have to add a comment from the view page? Thanks!

ANSWER 1: I don't think there is a way, aside from deleting the images and reuploading them to change the order. You can edit the image, though on the right side where it says Image Details, there is a spot that says Mod Image... click on that and it gives you different options.

ANSWER 2: I clicked on Mod Image and there is a Move Option I had never noticed; maybe this is how you can change the order of your images?

RESPONSE: Yes, I saw that and got excited, but the options were just moving it to different galleries! I've only got two pics up, so I'll remove them (if I can figure that out!) and just upload them in reverse order! Thanks!

ANSWER 3: I think the Move Option allows you to move it to a different gallery, but I think you would have to delete and then repost in the order you want to get them in the right order. You will lose any comments you've gotten so far if you delete. Having a two-pager in the wrong order is common. You could just make sure that your title indicates which side is which. You can do that under Options> Edit Image.

ANSWER 4: You shouldn't need to delete the images. All you need to do is click on Mod Options and choose Edit Image. Upload the other one in the first one's place, and do the opposite with your second image. Hope that makes sense. You're just replacing the first one with the second and the second with the first. I've done the same thing, but I haven't taken the time to switch them around. Of course, your comments wouldn't move with them, but you would get to keep them, and what applies to one side generally applies to the other, too.

QUESTION: I do find, albeit rarely, that I use papers and embellishments, etc., from kits not purchased on Scrap Girls. Is it okay to post them here or is that a no-no?

ANSWER 1: You sure can! Please remember to credit the designer, but we don't allow store website info in the credits.

ANSWER 2: I'm one of the Scrap Girls members who frequently posts layouts using other supplies.
My main source for supplies is Scrap Girls (and one other place). Then I buy bits and pieces around the place. I usually use things from more designers than Scrap Girls when I do a layout/book and post them here anyway. But I'm not on any creative teams or anything like that anywhere, and never advertise anything that comes from other sites. I do, however, always give credit to the designers in question, wherever they are from. When I take part in challenges, swaps, and contests here at Scrap Girls, I only use Scrap Girls stuff.

ANSWER 3: Thanks for posting that question. It was something I was curious about as well. And thanks to all for the responses!

QUESTION: Besides just playing around with a photo, is there an e-book or class where I can learn techniques to restore an older photo? I have several I would love to scrap but they are in bad shape. I am feeling a little frustrated by this and would love some advice!

ANSWER 1: Katherine has done a photo restoration class here, but not sure when it will be offered again. It was fabulous and I learned so much. In the meantime, keep watching the Boutique for that class to be offered again. I do have a couple of books... I'll p.m. (Private Message) you with the info in a bit... away from the bookcase right now. If you don't hear from me by this evening, remind me.

ANSWER 2: I was thinking of Katherine's class, too. It seems that I remember her saying you could buy the PDF files that came with the class from the Boutique, but I could be dreaming, too! You might want to email Angie and ask. Also, hopefully Bobbie Jo will see this thread. She has done some fantastic photo restoration work and I'm sure she would be happy to advise you.
Playing around with your photo and trying lots of different things is a good way to start. When I do this, I make lots of duplicates of my original photo and make one change per layer. I name the layer with the change I made (Hard Light 50%), for example. That way, I don't have to save different versions of the same photo. I can just turn the layers off and on for comparison. I don't know which program you use, but this would be Adjustment Layers in PSE and just regular layers in anything else.

RESPONSE: Thank you! I am so relieved to know there is a class available! I will be looking into that now. Yes, I would appreciate knowing which books you found useful! Gotta love Scrap Girls and all the knowledge!
