At the end of a long, hard day, I collapsed on the floor by my bed and began to pray. I felt as if I was going to burst into a million pieces. My head was spinning and my mind was reeling. My soul was tired.
As I was praying, the thought came to me, “What do you want, Rozanne?”
I paused and then started to ramble about needing this and that. But it came again, “What do you want, Rozanne?”
I continued my ramble. When my mind stopped for a moment, it came again, “What do you want?”
I stopped and thought. What did I actually want? I realized in that moment that the only thing I really wanted was a breath. I wanted my mind to stop talking so fast and furiously. I wanted to relax. I wanted to look out my window at the lights and simply enjoy them. I wanted to feel encircled with peace and love.
As soon as I had the thought, my mind cleared and I looked at the ceiling. It was gone. The chatter was gone. My ears rang with the sound of quiet.
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for an answered prayer.

Digital Scrapbook Tutorial: Creating a Mother’s Day Card With ScrapSimple Card Templates |
Note: Tutorial created using Adobe Photoshop CS3 on a Mac.
ScrapSimple Card Templates are a great digital scrapbooking tool for making quick cards. You can customize your templates in an infinite number of ways. I’ll show you a Mother’s Day card I designed three different ways with a single card template.
This is the original template with the “Mother” text layer turned on.
You can use the template in a straightforward way, using clipping or layer masks to fill the shapes with patterns and color, as in this example.

Another way to personalize your card template is to add brushes and doodles. Here, I’ve added hand-drawn flowers to the vase instead of the included circles and a ribbon as well.

In this last card, I’ve added silk flowers and rhinestones, stitching and a little butterfly.

As you can see, these are three very different looks you can achieve from just one card template. You can use these templates as is or use them loosely, like a sketch. Feel free to embellish or take away elements. They’re great time savers or useful when you might need a jumpstart to your design project.

This month, post to your heart's content and potentially win a prize because of your chattiness! That's right folks... it's time for one of those infamous posting challenges! We want to see you post the most! The top 10 posters this month will each win a gift certificate to the boutique! (Top 1-3 will each get a $10 GC, 4-6 will each get a $5 GC, and 7-10 will each get a $3 GC!)

March Layout Contest: Mesmerizing, hypnotic, charming, spellbinding... These are all words that can be used to describe things we might take photos of or do scrapbook pages about, from a mountain vista to a new baby’s face. For this contest challenge, we want you to do a layout about something that you feel fits these words. If your layout is chosen, you will win a $10 gift certificate to the Scrap Girls Boutique. All layouts must be posted by midnight Eastern Time, March 31st and credits listed to be eligible.
March Mid-Month Layout Contest: Time marches on in our lives. Scrapbooking gives us a way to track that time. For the mid-month layout contest, we want you to create a layout that shows a timeline of events or a then-and-now contrast. Post your Timeline layouts in the Mid-March Layout Contest Gallery before April 14th at midnight eastern. You will be eligible to win a $10 gift card to the Scrap Girls Boutique! Let's get scrapping!
