It has been over a year since Kandace’s fatal car accident. You would think that the pain would have eased by now. But, it hasn’t. I can be going along with my day, doing normal things, when all of a sudden, out of the blue, that cold, hard-fisted, steel ball still hits me in the pit of my stomach as I think of her and realize that we will never see her beautiful, smiling face again this side of Heaven.
Fortunately, after I reel from the realization and pain, I immediately remind myself that we will, indeed, see her again. This moment in time is so minuscule when compared with the eternity we will be together. I make myself count my blessings as they say in that wonderful, old hymn. This helps me keep this horrible nightmare we are now living without her in some kind of perspective.
One of the blessings I am so grateful for is discovering digital scrapbooking. What an awesome way to keep Kandace’s memory alive through the pages that I am making of all of the pictures we took of her during her short stay here on earth. Besides having the beautiful pages and memories, working on the pages themselves seem to have a therapeutic effect. I find myself comforted in all of the little details of working on the photos themselves and then the pages.
Thank you, Lord, for digital scrapbooking and thank you for all of the wonderful sites that provide the supplies, instruction, and pages others have created that give me inspiration such as Scrap Girls.
Being able to keep her memory alive through the scrapbook pages I make of her is a wonderful blessing indeed.
(Kandace was our 16-year-old daughter who lost her life in a single car accident on September 1, 2007. I discovered digital scrapbooking soon after while I was trying to find a way to keep her memory alive through all of the photos we had of her. I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that God led me into it.)

What Customers Are Saying... |
I have been getting the newsletter for almost a year and every time I get it, I am amazed at the layouts that are featured! You ladies are so incredibly talented and I thank you for sharing your talents with everyone!

I absolutely love your site, boutique, and newsletter! I originally started with paper scrapbooking about ten years ago. For the last four years, I have done very little scrapbooking due to the birth of my kids. Just like everyone else, time and space were an issue for me with paper scrapbooking. Going digital has been the best. I still like the look and feel of a physical scrapbook. I am in the process of trying to figure the best way to create a scrapbook that will combine digital layouts with the cards/tickets/swatches and other loose items that we collect. I found scanning these types of items just doesn’t give me the same feeling.
In January of this year, I came across your site and wondered if this was something I could do. I kept thinking that I had spent enough on scrapbooking supplies that I would never have to purchase another item. I kept asking myself, how could I justify the expense? I started with a couple of the freebies from your newsletters and I was hooked. I then purchased Photoshop Elements 6 and then, after reading the newsletters, I was convinced to purchase Ro’s Scrapbook Software Secrets Revealed.
Ro’s e-book is the best. Because they are short and easy to follow lessons, they helped tremendously. The University portion of your site is awesome also. I eventually would like to design my own supplies, but for now I am very satisfied with using the wonderful assortment that your designers have created.

Yeah! I found you! First, I want to tell you how much I love Scrap Girls. You've done such a great job on the site. I was just recently introduced to digital scrapbooking, so I've spent many hours surfing the web - and yours is my favorite.

Yours was the first digital scrapbooking site I ever came upon and I've been hooked since. It's definitely a favorite of mine! Keep up the good work. Oh... I love your newsletters. I always look forward to them!

I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU! You have such a great site. I made my first purchase today and I just want you to know that you are one of the best sites out there. I love the newsletter and your products are fabulous! Thanks again! Keep up the good work!

I just want to let you know what a great job you're doing and say thank you for all of the freebies you have given freely. I couldn't resist the pun; I tried but couldn't help it.

Thanks also for everything you do - you are by far the most helpful scrap site person I've come across and you've made me feel welcome to participate in all of the games and challenges. Thanks!

I constantly marvel at the care you take of all of us who must be using Scrap Girls. I also wonder at what hour you must get up and begin working. Be that as it may, thank you for solving my “problem” once again. I don't have much time to work with all the wonderful things I am acquiring, but love what I can do when I have time. Thank you, once again, for your part in all of this - design and administration.

I think your website is great. I'm new at digital scrapbooking and keep downloading templates and other things, and I'm almost at a point where I can relax a little and actually get to work with my pictures! I have subscribed to several newsletters and sometimes I get tired of them being in my inbox once a week, but not yours! I look forward to it every day. |

It's not hard, and I will even have a layout with a Word Art example. Then we'll meet in the chat room to have fun, chat, and create our Word Art layout!
We'll post the time on Sunday, as the time changes around each time to allow participation by our international folks. Everyone can participate and create a layout, even if you can't make the chat. Hope to see you there!

See a new way for coloring doodles. (I'm betting that it will surprise you what tool I've used to do that with, too...)
