A paper scrapbooker since shortly before marrying her college sweetheart in 1999, Cheri discovered digital in late 2005. It wasn't until she found Scrap Girls in late 2006 and watched Ro's "Secrets" series that she "got it" and took off with digital scrapping. She is constantly inspired by her fellow Scrap Girls and loves the sense of community and friendship found here, not to mention the amazing products.

After taking over the sketch chat duties from a previous designer, Cheri realized she loved the process of creating sketches and templates. She liked the fact that it sped up her own scrapbooking, so she began to think of marketing her designs. And then she sat on that idea for a long, long time. When Debbie announced the call for new designers, Cheri knew the time was now or never!

Cheri is a stay-at-home mom to three boys: Christopher (2003), Michael (2006), and William (2009). She has plenty of photos to scrapbook, if not quite as much free time as she'd like! She met her husband, Jeff, a software engineer, while at the University of Iowa. Cheri has a master's degree as a PA/physician assistant and volunteers at the local Free Clinic one evening per week.

Cheri is a lifelong hobbyist of many things, ranging from reading, cross-stitch (temporarily abandoned), felting, paper scrapbooking, photography, and she considers herself a budding knitter. She is always up for an outdoor adventure with her family, including camping (as long as there’s a warm shower in the morning). Her must-have tools for scrapbooking include Photoshop CS5, Wacom Bamboo tablet, and her beloved Pentax K20D.
