Inspired to draw at age three by watching her mother sketch, Thao has been a professional artist and multimedia designer since 1999.
With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Florida, Thao has accomplished design work for clients such as public universities, private art schools, retail stores, churches, and governmental organizations. While her primary concentration has been in web design, she has also designed several print publications and multimedia e-learning tools.
As a freehand artist, Thao has participated in several art exhibitions and charity events. She has also taught drawing classes at her local arts center to students ranging from 14 to 65 years old.
In 2005, Thao's passion for drawing and traditional art was re-ignited when she created her first paper scrapbook as a gift for a friend. She was instantly hooked on this new art form which combined all of her creative loves (i.e., drawing, beautiful papers, and writing). Soon afterwards, she discovered digital scrapbooking, which also pushed the boundaries of her imagination and artistic pursuits.
Thao is married to her best friend, Jeff. It is his joyful encouragement that continues to motivate her to pursue her dreams as an artist. Honored to be a Digital Scrapbook Product Designer for Scrap Girls, Thao hopes to inspire others to create, to bless, and to build.
