Paula comes to Scrap Girls with a diverse background. She has degrees in graphic design and secondary education. Paula worked in technology marketing for Novell for nine years. After leaving Novell, she went on to work in a technology-marketing agency where she focused on corporate branding, product packaging, advertising, marketing literature, and strategic planning. Since leaving the technology arena, Paula helps her husband run their residential construction company.
In addition to her graphics background, Paula is an accomplished seamstress. She designs wedding gowns and quilts and has taught sewing and quilting for many years. She has a passion for fabric and stitchery of all kinds. Paula also loves cooking, which is a good thing, considering she and her husband have seven children.
Paula has a strong commitment to community service. She spent many years as a youth leader for teenage girls and is currently a Cub Scout den mother. She also enjoys gardening and spending time in nature.
Paula started out as a paper scrapbooker, but when she found Scrap Girls, her technology experience kicked in and she was hooked. One of her prized possessions is a heritage scrapbook album left to her by her Grandfather. She wants to be able to leave the same legacy for her own family.
