Lore Shattuck is a graphic designer / art director currently working on ideas for books, journals toys and altered art projects.
Lore's been in the creative industry since 1989. A late but happy bloomer, her interest in design began when she went back to school and made a career switch from editing. Since then, she has continued to work in design as an art director for magazines, games, retail interiors, etc. She enjoys gardening all year (no matter the weather), blogging about gardens, and collecting Milagros and Day of the Dead artifacts.
In 2005, she was inspired by Sabrina Ward Harrison's books, and has created altered paper projects and journals since. Although she's a graphic designer, her first love is painting and photography. She recently left the corporate world behind, preferring to create personal artworks on paper, and journals for her family. This translated into a natural move to Scrap Girls, where she was accepted for the team and is thrilled to be part of the gang!
Lore lives in Bothell near Seattle (her bithplace and family stompin' grounds). Now that her son is grown, she is in a committed relationship with her little rescued Boston terrier, Ophee. A lover of other cultures and people, she has traveled to Italy, Hawaii, Tokyo, Greece and Israel.
