Joyce and her husband have lived in Missouri, overlooking a beautiful lake, for the past 25 years. During the previous 21 years of their marriage, they resided in a number of different countries, states and cities, including Japan, Guam and California. Life was exciting and adventurous while serving their country in the Navy. Moving so frequently made it difficult to establish a career for Joyce but she was able to experience many vocations that related to design during their travels. Once permanently rooted, she developed a thriving Landscape Design business. Although retired now, she and her husband still maintain their Church Outdoor Worship Sanctuary and garden which always lifts the spirit while providing plenty of exercise!

Their one adult daughter has recently blessed them with two adorable grandsons, Nicholas and Baby Nathan. She can't recall which came first. Discovering Scrap Girls or the birth of the babies, but together they make a great team. Because the boys live so far away, she has found that through the process of scrapbooking their lives she can enjoy a sense of closeness while preserving those precious memories. As a consequence, you will also get to know these little fellows, for they are in the majority of her layouts.

She has always been considered artistic with a vision for design but felt she was lacking in the ability to translate the concept onto paper. When Adobe Photoshop and Scrap Girls found their way into Joyce's life in 2008 her world changed. With so many beautiful products, tutorials and classes available, getting hooked was inevitable. Being a member of the Layout Artist Team and this exceptionally talented and friendly community at Scrap Girls is truly an honor. Through her passion for digital scrapbooking, she hopes to inspire others to discover their talents and participate in the fun!
